The Angel Service Pet program is NOT an advertised program. This is simply a program in which a dog is saved, prepared, trained and given to a Veteran, Widow, or Widower in Preble County.
We believe YHWH has made a special connection between dogs and man. The connection between a Service Pet and its handler is truly life-transforming. Providing a service dog can be a great way to introduce the love of Christ to a person that struggles with being alone in life.
The Angel Service Pet program’s focus is to:
- Rescue a dog from being destroyed
- Ensuring the dog is healthy
- Train the dog basic obedience, or to the needs of the handler
- Re-Home the pet with the new handler
- Check back in and provide help to the new handler
